While those who follow our twitch channel might know by now, we're hard at work developing the next polish patch for the game, version 0.5.6. To that end, lots of changes have been made to Chapter 1. Let's talk about some of what is coming to the game.
Sidequests while there were one or two oddball ones added to the base game, they weren't that common nor did they really do much. You could hardly call most of these side quests really. That however, will soon change with the introduction of the sidequest system in 0.5.6. One of the chief goals of the sidequest system going in was getting the Player to do more stuff, and to that end, the first two main types were added, the first one being a series of delivery quests you can find in Hanaru Inn.
The second are a series of 'escort' missions that will pit the Player against the tougher variants of enemies from across the regions as they deliver goods to more hidden villages in the land, which are set to provide their own unique sidequests. Many more quests will be added as time goes on, but the important thing to note is you can't pick and choose the sidequests. NPCs will not trust you with a job until you have completed the tasks prior to them, so it's important to do them in order.
Ancient Hills and Forest Ruin Dungeon Revamp The Ancient Hills and the Forest Ruin dungeon are getting complete revamps, with the Forest Ruin gaining a huge more variance in locations, traps, and puzzles. There's even a new true Boss to the dungeon. The Ancient Hills has gotten a ton of polish and area redesigns, with a brand new method of accessing the East Pass, leading into the Frozen Hills and Ancient Desert (inaccessible atm), new Crossroads, and a brand new area theme 'Ancient Hills' added and playing in the Ancient Hills map.
Other areas have been substantially revamped as well, such as Hanaru Village and the Hanaru Inn. We're giving Chapter 1 a substantial content overhaul.

The bosses of SR:MT’s first Chapter have started to feel lack luster thanks to some improvements in tactics design, and so we’ve been working to update them, and soon to come, a patch that lets you see the bosses in their new glory. Some have new battlers, while some have their dialogue and encounters completely revised! That’s not everything we’ve been doing though…
We are making great bounds in terms of development and are planning a content patch. The patch will cover several boss fight revamps and balancing tweaks, and passively will add a large number of battle backgrounds, a brand new windowskin for the game, higher quality temp battlers for all party members, and some sidequest addons.
We are unfortunately a long way from Chapter 2's completion, as it will likely take several weeks to a month to implement the finale on top of all of the areas still indev, the post content, and various other aspects still under development.
Possibly the biggest hangup will be the implementation of the new soundtrack, which will likely take a fair number of months. We ask for patience as the end result of all this work will be an amazing range of content and polish. Hope you all have a great day!
